This beastie was part of the Bones 4 Kickstarter. I really love minotaurs. There is something so classic about them. If you have a maze, you gotta have a minotaur, thems the rules!
Very simple. No assemly required! Mould lines were easy to remove. It did come attached to a base, which I cut off.
Primed with Badger Stynlrez primer, brushed on. Miniature painted purley in oils. Mostly Winsor & Newton Winton line. Metals done with Gamblin metallic oil paint. Took a little less than 2 hours. The blends and transitions were very easy to pull off with oils. Sealed with some matt varnish from Reaper Miniatures.
Custom made with with the Greek themed texture roller from Green Stuff World only Sculpy clay. The column and amphora (fancy Greek word for the vase thing) were hand sculpted with Sculpy as well. After baking the clay, the mosaic was quickly painted with acrylic paint from Vallejo and Reaper, and some acrylic ink from Daler & Rowney. Nothing special, pretty quick job. If I could do it over again, I would have done the base, column, and amphora in oils, but I was in a rush.
