This is one beefy giant. I saw the paint scheme on Reaper Miniature's Twitter feed a while ago, and decided to see if I could replicate the color scheme. The material is Reaper Bones resin.
Very minor, just the arms and sword. Since the sword handle is very thin, and the crossguard and blade are much more massive, I did cut the sword at the handle connection and inserted a pin to keep it solid. Mould lines were easy to remove.
Primed with Badger Stynlrez primer, brushed on. Miniature painted purley in oils. Mostly Winsor & Newton Winton line. The metallic armor was done with Gamblin metallic oil paint. Took about 4 hours total with futzing with the colors. The sword blade color transitions was very easily done. Black, red, orange, yellow, white, feathered together. The power of oil paints! Sealed with some matt varnish from Reaper Miniatures.
Custom cork. Everything was covered in a mixture of Mod Podge and black acrylic paint, then the lava was painted with red/yellow. After drying, I tried to use some flourescent Daler Rowney inks to make the light spots pop.
