My homebrew D&D campaign has a player character Drow bard that is big on heavy metal. She ended up making a pact with the Raven Queen, and needs to find a demon to bind to her guitar. I saw this demon/devil thing rocking a guitar, and just had to have it. Should make a great element to her story. The material is a hard'ish resin. Not as hard as some, this was relatively easy to work with.
Assembly:
Not too terribly hard. There were a fair amount of parts, but the high quality of Mierce's material makes it pretty straightforward. Mould lines weren't bad and easy to remove.
Paint:
Primed with Badger Stynlrez primer, brushed on. Miniature painted purley in oils. Mostly Winsor & Newton Winton line. Wanted to go with a sort of ice demon paint theme. Figured the webbed feet, tail, and crab claws protruding from the shoulder would be good for a water/ice theme. Took 2.5 - 3 hours to paint the oils, then left a few days to dry. Sealed with some matt varnish from Reaper Miniatures.
Base:
Custom made ice base, using clear distress crackle paint. Big chunks were glued in the front/back for the large shards. After drying, the base was washed and dry-brushed with acrylic paint and ink, to give it the icy blue/white tint.
